Hartebeest Safaris exists to help travelers experience the country beyond its famous photographs.
It is watching first light move across the Serengeti plains. Hearing distant wildlife beyond camp after the day has quietened. Descending through the misty highlands into Ngorongoro, then realizing how immense the crater landscape truly is.
It is also the conversations in between: meeting Tanzanians, discovering local traditions and understanding the places through those who call them home. For some travelers, the journey continues to Kilimanjaro's summit. For others, it ends barefoot on Zanzibar's coast.
