Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar
Arusha · Tarangire · Serengeti · Ngorongoro · Zanzibar
Combine northern Tanzania's wildlife icons with an unhurried tropical escape in Zanzibar.

Indian Ocean beaches, Swahili heritage and island calm.
Pair safari with white-sand beaches, historic Stone Town, spice farms and the warm Indian Ocean.
Zanzibar is the perfect counterpoint to a safari: soft white sand, warm turquoise water and a slower island rhythm. A short flight from Arusha or the Serengeti takes you from the bush to the Indian Ocean in a morning.
Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a maze of carved doorways, markets and rooftop cafés shaped by centuries of Swahili, Arab, Indian and European influence. Beyond town you can visit spice farms, see red colobus monkeys in Jozani Forest or sail a traditional dhow at sunset.
The north coast around Nungwi and Kendwa offers swimming at most tides, while the east coast beaches such as Paje are known for wide lagoons and kitesurfing. We match the beach to the way you want to relax.

Flights from Arusha, Kilimanjaro or Serengeti airstrips reach Zanzibar in about 1 to 2 hours. Many international airlines also fly directly to Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.
Three to five nights is ideal: enough time for Stone Town and a few unhurried beach days without feeling rushed.
Nungwi and Kendwa in the north are good for swimming at most tides and for sunsets. The east coast, including Paje and Matemwe, has long white beaches with tidal lagoons.
