About Udzungwa & Uluguru

Part of the ancient Eastern Arc, sometimes called Africa's Galápagos, these mountains are home to plants and animals found nowhere else on Earth. They see few visitors, and walking is often the only way in.

The Ulugurus rise behind Morogoro, within easy reach of Dar es Salaam. The Udzungwas are further south, with no roads inside the park, the Sanje Waterfalls and rare red colobus monkeys.
